Blind Signs
Detectable Directional Guidance System (DDGS) developed for the blind, by the blind. The DDGS is an orientation and way-finding system for pedestrians who are blind or visually impaired (B&VI.) Detectable and directional orientation is provided by the raised surface of the DDGS or Markers and can be achieved through an average cane sweep, a touch of the foot, or through color contrast for low vision individuals.
