Strengths:Excellent scooter. I use it to go shopping. I have had it for seven years. Transport on an external lift. Battery lasts a long time. I have left it out in the rain many times. Needed to change the front tire to a solid one. Great scooter!
Weaknesses:
Comments:They can improve the seat cushion.

Strengths:I have had this scooter now for 6 years. It has travelled with me to numerous places/countries and has survived to tell the tale. It is still going strong although parts have had to be adjusted - see below
Weaknesses:The Pride Rally can be taken apart and put in a car - but it is awkward to do so and is heavy. There are better models on the market now. Various parts have had to be replaced - but nothing that expensive - the speed dial has been eliminated altogether as it was always breaking off. The horn is useless. I have installed a bike bell and this works fine. The brake mechanism is somewhat awkward is is not very durable. One arm rest is disintegrating. Paint work is in bad shape - the slightest touch seems to scratch it. A really bad design fault is the forward and reverse mechanism. There is no protection in front of it and I had a nasty accident 4 years ago when the mechanism caught in my key chain - I was forcibly reversed into the road - the machine fell on top of me and I broke my arm. I wrote to Pride at the time but I don't think they have adjusted the mechanism. I placed a protective velcro cover over the mechanism after that - and it worked fine - but I don't really think I should have to come up with my own safety devices for this machine!!!
Comments:Despite the negative comments the Pride Rally has lasted 6 years. I moved to England 3 years ago - had the battery charger adapted and it works fine. It would be a much better machine if it had an off board external voltage charger. I replaced the air filled tyres with foam filled - not as smooth a ride - but I simply couldn't deal with the punctures. I do find this scooter comfortable though. On a full day out - I don't feel stiff and sore. The scooter has been pretty reliable. I have never broken down - so I can't complain on that score. I think it was a good buy at the time - but I wouldn't buy it again as I think there are better models out there for the money. I

Pam from ohio submitted this review on August 11th 2006 at 02:14 PM. Pam is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Small, easy to get in and out of cramped areas.
Weaknesses:Bought a Ralley in Dec. 2003. I only use it when I am shopping or have much walking to do."Very" short time later it started making a noise, got worse and started jerking while moving, finally in Aug. 2004 had the transaxel replaced which they covered. In 2006 it started making the same exact noise and doing the same exact thing. I had to replace the transaxle again, only this time it cost me 50% which my share was over $600 with labor. Not very happy with this product. I will be buying another in a few years and I don't think it will be a Pride.
Comments:It is a very good thing that I am not fully dependent on this scooter. I would hate to think what it would cost to keep running if I had to use it everyday, all day.

Strengths:possible heavy boat anchor.
Weaknesses:motor weak, horn button fell off twice, brake broke, transaxel broke, left power tire broke, armrests replaced twice, speed controller broke and the spring that controls the foward and reverse broke three times.two years old and 5 months in the shop off and on of that!
Comments:died in a big puff of smoke when the brake locked down while driving it and the motor smoked. I think it may have commited suide. To my relief.
