Jo Ann from Hollywood, Florida USA submitted this review on August 24th 2009 at 06:24 AM. Jo Ann is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:I have found that of all the scooters I have used which have been many in the last 5 years I have had the pleasure of using the sundancer for the past 2 years and am very satisfied with it.

I have traveled for 25 miles on a charge and was supprised to get that that was an emergency.
on a hole I use my scooter to go everywhere, when My friends and neighbors see me in different areas of town they are supprised at the miles I have gone and that the scooter takes me round trip.
unfortunately my scooter just burned up, in that I mean that the motor gets overheated and dies.
I hope that I will get the same machine as a replacement as I can not walk any distance as I Have no metatarsel heads in my feet and two toes had to be amputated and the rest of the toes on both of my feet are fussed.
The great thing about your scooter is that it fits in my home perfectly, that is I have a long hallway in my home that I must go down to get to my bedroom and it has a short turn radius and this scooter just makes it with out having to back up several times to get the angle correct, it also fits in to my bathroom with out any problem the other scooters are to large and will not fit on my ramp of my car and does not give me moverability in my home.
Weaknesses:I find that the batter indicator casing on the handle is to easy to get into in that the plastic circle cover breaks and sildes down causing the battery to not know if it is still charged.
Comments:over all I will continue to demand this brand of scooter from my medical suppler in that it truly is the best one I have had in the five years I have had to use a scooter to get around on a daily bases. you may contact me at 754-204-4292 for further information am very satisfied with your product and wish I hade the money to purchase one by my self as I get it through my insurance company.

John from Newfoundland, Canada submitted this review on December 18th 2007 at 09:54 AM. John is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Comfort, clearance, manoeuvrability
Weaknesses:Very SLOOOOW raising/lowering seat, awkward location of plug and seat raise/lower switch
Comments:I've had this since 2005 and is my mid-size scooter. I use a Pride Go-Go for inside my house and a 4-wheel Pride Legend for trails and running my dogs. I use the Sundancer primarily for commuting to work via a ramp van, shopping, gardening and short outdoor excursions. It is a tad bit wide for easy manoeuvring in my house or crowded store aisles and a bit slow for outdoor use.

Strengths:Light weight. Swivel seat. Turning radius.
Weaknesses:Factory batteries don't hold a good charge.
Seat too hard, needs more cushion.
Comments:This is my second Sundancer. Indoor use is great. Outdoors would be better if larger wheels were available.

Kerrie from Amarillo, TX, USA submitted this review on September 9th 2006 at 06:36 PM. Kerrie is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:Comfortable, adjustable seat. Has Headlamp, flashers, lighted turning signals and tailights. Low, flat floorboard allows you to stand as opposed to some scooters with tilted floors. Plenty of power. Good batteries (although the dealer provided a different brand of batteries because manufacturers have a reputation for poor performance.) Plenty of power on accelerator and seat lift (standard). Streamlined, attractive frame.
Weaknesses:Unfortunately, they outweigh the positives. The locking tiller has driven me nuts. The cable inside the tiller has broken twice and the release lever is so difficult to pull that it breaks the skin on my hands. The tiller locks at 15-degree positions and it takes both hands for me to release and raise the tiller bar. The accelerator and seat lift controls are UNDER the handlebars, and difficult to reach and/or locate. I had to have a modification just to reach the accelerator, but the new controls stuck out so far on each side that they could easily be triggered by tables, chairs, desks, doorframes, etc. I had several wrecks (and I've been driving a powered scooter for more than 20 years) before my husband sawed off 2 inches on each side of the levers. Then there's the problem of the too-wide handebars (17.5 inches) which catch on doorframes and complicate the turning radius. Although the chair is only 6 months old, it has started having minor electrical problems. Minor complaint: Rubber cover on base of tiller had been coated in a black polish, which stained my slacks.
Comments:I spend every waking moment in this scooter at work, home and everywhere I go. It is very comfortable to sit on, but the design flaws are really frustrating. I would not recommend this chair, especially if you need an indoor power chair with good maneuverability.

Ron from Boscobel WI USA submitted this review on May 11th 2006 at 11:32 PM. Ron is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Couldn't find any strengths compared to the old Bruno I had.
Weaknesses:Brakes, Motor gets hot, Transaxle, plastic body cracks easily.
Comments:Scooter was purchased in 2003 and has had 2 motors, 2 transaxles and at least 5 sets of brakes installed since then. Needs more care than a car does and there are always delays due to prior authorizatins, even though insurance covers most of the price. Dealer has no loaner. Speed controller is also not durable...needed replacement twice and adjustments at least twice. They say dust gets into motors, wonder why they can't be sealed? Poor design. Not a durable scooter...we will go with a Bruno again for the next scooter.

Lisa from Yorba Linda, CA, USA submitted this review on May 24th 2004 at 07:14 PM. Lisa is a care giver who has six months to a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Stability, looks.
Weaknesses:We have had the scooter back to the dealer twice in less than 5 months. The batteries do not hold a charge (we're on the third new set) and the brakes have gotten progressively slower to stop. This week, the slow braking mechanism was the cause of my 7 year old son running over my 18 month old grandson.
Comments:I would not recommend this product.

Robert from Augusta, GA, USA submitted this review on April 27th 2004 at 07:56 AM. Robert is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product.
Strengths:Compact and maneuverable indoors, strong and capable outdoors. Stylish and comfortable (I traded the low-back seat for a high-back one from a Jazzy). The tilt steering mechanism is very convenient and easy to use. The lighting package makes the scooter very visible to others at night.
Weaknesses:Despite being short (5'5"), I find it difficult to drag my feet through the platform past the front wheel cowl due to the tight clearance. The onboard charger receptacle is very low and hard for me to reach, so I had it relocated to the steering column.
Comments:Being unable to stand or walk at all, I spend nearly 18 hours every day on my scooter. I am completely dependant on it for everything I do. The Sundancer is small enough to navigate my cramped house, my office (I sit in it to work at my desk), bathroom stalls, and it easily fits in my ramp minivan. The seat height is perfect for transferring to my swiveled driver's seat, elevated toilet seats, and my bed, whereas most larger scooters are too tall for easy transfers. I have taken my Sundancer everywhere from campgrounds and hiking trails to cruise ships and pontoon boats, and its power and speed have never failed to impress me.
