Strengths:Seat is wide and comfortable. PRIDE honored the warranty. This is an adequate scooter if using in your home - not for OUTDOOR use. Pretty good climbing a somewhat steep hill. quick speed and good mileage.
Weaknesses:in-door use ONLY - although they advertise it is for indoor/outdoor. NOT for outdoor use, unless it is over a SMOOTH surface such as a driveway. My city sidewalks have normal-wear bumps and groves causing problems of unsmooth ride. Within 1st year the transaxel broke 2 times (which they blamed on me using it on outdoor bumpy surfaces) but was fixed under warranty. Also blamed ME for not charging battery correctly, which is UN-true. Bought new batteries and a new charger. Basically their charger is horrible. Save yourself money and buy a decent charger immediately (NOT from the scooter seller but from a battery place. scooter seller will just sell u more garbage). Not enough leg room - i have knee problems and have a VERY hard time getting off the scooter. Horn and light are worthless.
Comments:I am over 400 lbs. If you need a scooter that you want to drive outdoors I recommend you buy a scooter with rear-wheel suspension. Be aware of limited leg room.

Edwina from LaBelle, Florida submitted this review on September 26th 2010 at 09:21 AM. Edwina is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Lighter in weight than some, making it easier to load and unload.
Weaknesses:Repairs are expensive and difficult to obtain. The scooter requires repeated major, expensive repairs. Service manuals and parts are difficult to obtain by the end consumer.
Comments:When traveling it is very difficult to obtain service from Pride dealers. They all want to sell a new unit instead of making repairs. Seem to indicate that fixing a two year old scooter is a waste of time.

Julie from Salem, OR submitted this review on March 13th 2009 at 06:44 PM. Julie is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:I love the independence this scooter gives me. It has alot of pep and can go the distance. Pride Mobility has been a big help to me answering questions.
Weaknesses:I own a 3 wheel, and the anti-tip wheels are the biggest problem. They sit low to the ground and catch on things like curbs and walkways. They can be very hazardous if going at any speed other than snail. Also, I tend to catch my clothing on the wig wag controls when get off or on my scooter.
Comments:I love this scooter and would be still sitting at home without it!!

Norma from Braidwood, IL submitted this review on December 6th 2007 at 04:28 PM. Norma is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:It was the only one I found that was narrow enough that would carry a large person through an average doorway. The turning radius is nice in tight situations.
Weaknesses:My other scooter is a Shoprider 4 wheeler. There is no logical comparison on stability, ride and durability. Like many of you the charger crapped out on the second use, I am still trying to get a replacement, Pride shipped to the wrong address twice! For indoor use it is great, outside, not so much. I tried to adjust the seat to the tallest adjustment back. However, the holes that were in the seat were at the wrong location to accomodate the plate as shown in the instruction book. I called Pride immediately and informed them of this manufacturing problem, they ignored me and said they would look into it. All it would have taken was to turn a seat over and try to install it. They seemed unable to do that. Also when I tried to get it up onto the scooter rack on my Blazer it did not have the power to get up without being leaned on so that the back wheels would make enough contact to go up it. Also, the hand controls are backwards if you try to get it up the ramp with the beaver tail on the passenger side.
Comments:It saved my bacon in the house, however, if you need durability and hauling ease this may not be the one for you.

ALEX from MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA USA submitted this review on May 14th 2007 at 04:17 AM. ALEX is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:looks good, nice seat, good power, and holds up to 450 lbs.
Weaknesses:not enough ground clearance, side idler wheels grounds out over the smallest drivewayy dip. built-in battery charger was junk after about 6 months use. Pride was not any help at all, and the cost to replace it was over $400. from Pride. (I bought a much better after-market charger, and changed over to external charger--works great now. The very worst thing about buying from Pride, is thier coustomer service, after purchase is almost non-existence. They will not sell you many replacement part, they won't sell you a electrical diagram.
Comments:if you buy from Pride, your stuck when you get a problem. o9n the phone they were rather rude, and tried to tell me that I at fault because I didn't charge the battery evert day, whether you used it or not that day....I wasn't asking for them to replace the battery, I just wanted to buy a replacement battery charger, but I wouldn't pay four times the price as a exact replacement from a independent dealer.

Strengths:good power, fast
Weaknesses:anti tip wheels
Comments:the problem i had with this one is the anti tip wheel r too low to the ground and when you go up a ramp to a restaurant the anti tip wheel catch and pull you to one side or the other if your not careful it will throw u off like it did me after it pulled the scooter into the restaurants window that was an expensive dinner
