| Rev. Garry from Etna, PA submitted this review on November 2nd 2009 at 03:14 PM. Rev. Garry is an end user who has over five years of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | Very comfortable and easy to manuver. Handles well in wet and cold weather. Good reclineing positions. Manuvers easily while standing. Goes up and down steep hills easily. Good distance on a single charge. In Philadelphia, PA, I traveled fourteen miles in a day at a national convention. | | Weaknesses: | Poor quality of steel. I have had several pieces break or bend. Many wiring shorts and cable breakages. The stander frame frequently goes out of alignment. No user specification info. No nomenclature, parts or schematic diagrams. Service is atrocious. When the chair is in for repairs, I usually lose it from seven to nine weeks. Charger plug is inconvenient. Foot-rest release is almost impossible to get to. Training of technicians is poor. Worthless Website. Lights are not standard, but are regarded as accessories. | | Comments: | The chair looks impressive. It gives me independence and has relieved many pressure sores and urinary tract infections with my ability to stand or frequently adjust my sitting position. It makes a good bed as I am not able to lay in a regular bed in hotells. Unless you have a good mechanical and electrical background, and are not afraid to make repairs yourself, I would not reccomend this chair. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |

| Angi from Fredericksburg,Va. submitted this review on March 12th 2008 at 07:56 PM. Angi is a care giver who has over a year of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | It has a stander. | | Weaknesses: | everything... | | Comments: | My daughter has had this chair for over 4 year's and it's been in the shop more than she has used it.It's very undependable. We have had one problem after another-control box broke off the first time out with the chair.A bolt has broken on the foot plate 3 times-which takes about 2 weeks to fix each time. She has gotten stuck standing for hour's at school.Numerus times the chair has suddenly stoped which almost throw's her out of the chair. This chair has been a nightmare- thank god she has a old quickie that she uses when the permobile is in the shop.I would never recommend this chair to someone. We have gotten to the point that we are afraid to take it ANYWHERE. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |

| Mary Lou from Pottsville, PA USA submitted this review on March 23rd 2006 at 11:07 PM. Mary Lou is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | It was great when I had to shovel snow, I just put the shovel between my feet and drove forward.
I like the standing feature and the height of raising the seat. | | Weaknesses: | I have this chair 4+ years, and had nothing but problems with it. I had wires short out while I was in motion, the chair would stop dead and almost catapult me out of it. The batteries would not hold a charge. I am on my 5th set of batteries and still does not hold a charge. The service center gave me new battery chargers and new plug sockets and still did not help the problem. The Joy stick burnt out $1000 for a new joy stick. The front wheel fell off enroute across a parking lot to a hockey game. Control box breaks off very easily. I replaced that 3 times. Wheel hubs gone bad. Out of alignment, I can put the joy stick to go straight and it always pulls to the left. | | Comments: | I am very disappointed with it. Every service man told me it is supposed to be the Cadillac of wheel chairs. Well I got the Lemon.
Company headquarters have very rude employees. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating:

| Mary Lou from Pottsville, Pa USA submitted this review on November 20th 2005 at 10:18 PM. Mary Lou is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | It weighs 350 lbs. without me in it. Looks sharp. Advertising is great. | | Weaknesses: | wire shotages, batteries die to soon, cannot get a full day out of 1 overnight charge, tires wear out quickly, untrustworthy, wheels fall off, joystick shorts out, Company service is absolutely horrible. | | Comments: | I have the chair just about 3 yrs. I hate it. It has left me in embarrassing, humiliating situations many times. The latest being on my way into an arena to see a hockey game. The drive bolt snapped and the wheel fell off. Thank God I had my two sons with me they had to put me on the ground to lift the chair and try to put the wheel back on. This is when they realized the bolt snapped off. We had to get security to bring another wheelchair. This took about 30 minutes in which I missed the first period of the game. My chair has been in the shop more than it has been under my butt. When I had problems with the wires shorting out the chair would just stop almost catapulting me out of the chair. I have fought with the company many times over. In order to make anyone who can walk realize the needs of a physically disabled person they should cut their legs off and leave them on a shelf in front of them for two weeks then talk to me afterwards.
When I received the chair I was told I have a five year warranty. Company insisted I only had a two year warranty. Company does not realize the needs of physically disabled people. When I needed service on the chair the quickest service I received took two weeks of the chair being in the shop. If anyone who reads this needs a reliable chair on a daily basis do not get Permobil. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating:

| Carol from Cambridge Springs, PA16403, USA submitted this review on November 11th 2005 at 09:22 PM. Carol is a care giver who has six months to a year of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | Does it all | | Weaknesses: | forget about sitting up to the table at home or in a restrant. Chair will not fit under a table. Seat is up too high. | | Comments: | I cannot stand the chair. My granddaughter is more dependent, because she cannot get up in it on her own, as she could her previous Permobile. It sits too high, and the wheels stick out so far behind better have large rooms. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |
