Strengths:Very easy to load in a mini van. I loaded two of them in a mini van with fold down back seat. Used them all day at Busch Gardens. Easy to operate. Works well in tight places and has a slow speed when moving with lots of people around. Stops on a dime when you let go of the control. After four years had to replace the battery in one but I belive that is about normal.
Weaknesses:Battery charger of one of them stopped working after a few months. The other one is still working fine.
Comments:Would highly recommend this product. My parents are in their 80's and they were able to work the scooter will very little instruction. I am both a caregiver and end user (due to a bad knee)When I know there will be a lot of walking I take the scootie Jr and have a great day.

Susan from New York, NY, USA submitted this review on September 22nd 2006 at 03:05 PM. Susan is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product.
Strengths:I rented a Scootie Jr for my week long cruise to Alaska and it was great. It turned on a dime; I was readily able to navigate the narrow hallways of the cruise ship and get in & out of elevators. It was not as intimidating to others as a full size scooter. It was comfortable; the arms were lightly padded so I could use them as arm rests but lifted up and out of the way when I didn't need them. The battery came out and I could bring it into the room to charge it.
Weaknesses:The seat doesn't swivel. The footrests are pedals but that worked to make it less intimidating and I kind of liked the pedals; even though my leg position had to remain with a flexed knee the pedals were movable and that seemed to be enough to prevent my knee from locking up.
Comments:I really liked it. I've used the scooters at Disney and other larger scooters so I've got some basis for comparison and the Scootie Jr was fun to use. It got up gangplanks and all over the docks as well as around the ship. I would recommend it.
