wendy from east anglia uk submitted this review on September 18th 2009 at 04:34 AM. wendy is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:very sporty, flashy, great looking chair, real eye catcher.
very adjustable and easy to adjust
very comfortable to sit in and use for hours,
easy to manover, infact the most manoverable chair i've used,
great engineering to high standard
well balance easy to self propell wheelchair
Weaknesses:the chair is bulky and heavy to load across you into the car, manufactorers say can be lifted with one hand! i'm very strong in upper body strength it takes me all my time to lift it with two hands, even my carer cant lift it with one hand! the manufactorers say "you do not have to do anything with the side panels, because they automatically retract into the frame when the back rest is folded down". the sideguards infact make it very bulky and awkward to load,. they do fold down but so they stick out the back a bit like butterfly wings making it difficult to load independently, to use the chair on my own i have to transfer into my old chair, load the blizzard into the boot, then use old chair to get to drivers seat and lift that one into passenger seat, so dont tend to bother using blizzard when i'm on my own as too much effort required to make it worth while,
Comments:weaknesses out way the strengths for independent wheelchair users, ok if you always have someone with you to load chair into car otherwise not worth the effort, very disapointed from such a renown manufactorer

Daniel from Germany submitted this review on March 27th 2009 at 04:18 AM. Daniel is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Good looks if customized right.
Weaknesses:If you are an active somewhat aggresive driver, the frame tends to bend and lots of squeaking and moving.
The rear wheels continuesly gave me problems with the axle adapters. left wheel came off a couple of times.I sent the chair off to be fixed but it lasted only a few trips until I experienced the same problems
The screws for the footrest tend to wear out fast if adjusted a few times.
Comments:Great for a back up chair, but as mentioned before, if you are one to hop a curb and hit rough terrain every so often, I personally cannot recommend it. For an active rigid frame chair, it should be sturdier than what it is.
More a chair to use in enviroments with flat pavement.

C. J. from Germany submitted this review on August 3rd 2007 at 04:17 PM. C. J. is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:Looks sporty and great design, lots of options available, when you order this chair.
Maneuvers very well, turning is always on the spot and easy, even when there is not a lot of room, very sturdy, lightweight and very easy to load into car..
A lot of options to change the chair to your individual needs and liking.
Sits very comfortable, even after spending the entire day in it.
Weaknesses:Have not found any yet.
Comments:I have had this chair for over a month now and am very pleased with it.
This model is new on the market and I have gotten a lot of positive comments on my chair from people, because of its design.

I am a T10 Paraplegic and this chair works great for me. I recommend this chair, the best one I have had so far.

Bas from Wiesloch, Germany submitted this review on June 26th 2007 at 07:10 AM. Bas is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product.
Strengths:Adjusting -
You can change the horizontal position of the rear wheels to whatever position you like. The parts that hold the rear wheels are mounted on a sort of slide on the seat base which allows you to just loosen two nuts and slide the wheels in to a position that is comfortable.

Same goes for the height of the rear wheels, just loosen two bolts and you can pick from nine different height positions. Angle of the back-rest can be adjusted in 10 degree increments.

Weight -
The thing is just very light, around 6 Kg or 12 Lbs. Can't say the exact weight because I haven't seen the spec sheet yet.

Stable -
Makes a solid impression.
Weaknesses:The cushion that was provided with the chair stretches a bit an will make contact with the spokes a you turn the wheels. That might damage the cushion.

The quick releases axle pins tend not to go in completely on one side. Might just be a setting though, need to check. :-)
Comments:I have just tested the blizzard for about a week. Since it is quite new on the market I was happy to get my hands on it. I found some strengths and weaknesses, but overall I was very happy with the chair and have ordered one.
