Ruth from Ridgway PA submitted this review on August 15th 2014 at 01:53 PM. Ruth is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:if it's possible for a wheelchair to be good looking, this one is in comparison to cheaper one.
Weaknesses:Terrible repairs of my Quickie 2 Lite Sunrise wheelchair which Medicare helped to pay for by only area medical company (SMP Home Medical of St Marys, PA). Several times leaving me in a very dangerous position with inoperable left wheellock. I am 99 percent dependent on this wheelchair unable to walk any distance without a walker and an aid at my side for safety. Of course, if the product is "no good" then can't give the service for all of the blame.I continued to request a new wheellock for more than a year but service person just kept turning the screws tight each time. Never lasted. June 11/ 2014 representative came to my home. Tightened screws in wheellocks and used a blower to blow off dust. That was the extent of his repairs costing 45.00 for service call and $33.00 for blowing over the wheelchair.

In early June had experience, once again left wheel lock would not hold the brake . I "insisted" Wheelock be replaced. Medicare no longer paid for any expenses with the chair. This time, to save a second service call plus repairs my son took the wheelchair to the service center in St. Marys. No service charge and no cost for installing the "new" wheel lock. Yesterday (August 14) wheel lock "gave way" and only by grabbing a side bar on the wall I did not land on my face and was able to get into the wheelchair. If I had fallen it would have been the second incident but worse than before.

I contacted service office August 14 and was only able to leave a message. As of today at2:30 p.m. I have not even received a return phone call.

The left wheel lock is a piece of junk! and should have been replaced many, many times each time there was an incident Fortunately, an aid was here in my home when the brake gave way and went up in my attic and brought down a very old wheelchair which is so old I can't purchase parts but the locks are very strong, and safe, not like the Quickie 2.

I need a new left wheel lock "free" hopefully to be put on by "a responsible rep for Quickie wheelchairs and the owner of the St
Marys SMP should no longer be able to sell any Quickie product.
Comments:I probably will have to purchase a new wheel and it will not be from SMP Medical Supply of St Marys, DuBois, or Johnsonburg.

Alan from Athens, TN submitted this review on June 11th 2012 at 06:19 PM. Alan is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Light weight, repair technicians love it, capable of more pulling to the left than an old worn out GM car, insurance paid for it, my dealer and his service department who have had the patience of saints. The very nice paint job. Looks nice. The Rep in my territory has bent over backwards trying to assist me.
Weaknesses:Pulls heavily to the left. Unsafe.
Moderate to severe caster flutter.
Frame vibrates out of alignment.
Footrests need frequent adjustment.
Has had 7 service department visits in less than one year's ownership (my old Quickie GPV Titanium had that many in over 12 years of service).
Comments:Folding wheelchair, never again will I go with a Quickie folding model. Also, will stick to more proven technology which has been debugged. My dealer has been trying hard to get this chair's issues sorted. I am of the curmudgeonly opinion that if a wheelchair spends more than 5 service visits in one year, the user should be offered a replacement wheelchair. Revised review. Different opinion based on age and field experience. My next chair will be a rigid frame and all other subsequent wheelchairs will be.

Michael from San Pablo, CA. use submitted this review on September 15th 2011 at 10:59 AM. Michael is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:Light weight,foldable.
Weaknesses:Like the other person said, the thing has been falling apart since day one. With screws stripping out and stuff breaking. It liked the breezy chair that I had prior much much better.
Comments:Not a very durable chair

Alan from Athens, TN USA submitted this review on February 28th 2011 at 02:58 PM. Alan is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:Ease of use
Ease of propelling it
Paint job (I got blue opal)
Quality of the bearings
Ease of folding and transporting in my car
My provider's service
Weaknesses:None as of now, it's still quite new
Comments:Overall, for a fundable compromise chair, it's a nice chair. Excellent workmanship overall. Blue opal paint job is beautiful without being a fad. Best bearings I ever had in any manual chair I ever owned. It's easy to push and everything is in the right place. It's very nimble for a folding wheelchair.

Karen from Flagstaff, AZ submitted this review on April 4th 2010 at 01:36 AM. Karen is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:Meets the basic requirements for mobility.
Weaknesses:I've had the chair for 5 months and have had no end of troubles with it. Back rest is constantly out of allignment and the parts are falling off or getting bent. The foot rests do not stay in the correct positions, one broke the 2nd week I had it. The brakes have been replaced several timess - wear loose with stripped screws. The front caster wheels rusted through in 2 months use (I live in a snowy climate). Thankfully the company the chair was ordered from and / or my insurance has covered the repairs thus far...but it's a new repair almost every week or so.
Comments:This was the first chair I got and after 5 months I'm already trying to figure out how to save to buy a new one out of pocket since it won't last the minimum 5 years before insurance pays aagin.

Chris from Lake Placid, Fl. USA submitted this review on March 27th 2010 at 12:31 PM. Chris is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Lite weight,foldable
Weaknesses:Frame is wobbley and makes creaking noises. Sling seat lasted 1 year before it streached out. Needs new brakes after 1 -1/2 years. One wheel is out of round. Foot rests have problems swinging back in.
Comments:This wheelchair is used primarily in the house. There is no excuse for it wearing out so fast. I have had a really cheap wheelchair that lasted 5 years before having these kind of problems. The footrests are not positioned correctly and have been a problem from day one.
