Strengths:I live in a rural setting and have needed a manual wheelchair to cover rough ground for years. This is the first one I have found that is truly a practical all terrain wheelchair allowing me to actually push my chair over rocks, gravel, above ground roots and up small hills without another person's assistance! The genius of this design: 1)the trike configuration with the rear steering wheel, (2) the hand driven levers, (3)disk brakes.
Weaknesses:1) high retail cost,
2) the independent swing arms attached to each wheel open to damage in tip-overs,
3) wheels do not come off for transport
Comments:I am a T3-6 paraplegic with an incomplete SCI. I have no problems transferring to and from this chair. Nor do I have any problems working the drive levers. Even at the high cost of acquisition, I have no regrets in buying one. This manual chair has finally allowed me the freedom to transverse all types of difficult natural terrain and inclines without actual 2nd person help. I love it!
