JILL from USA submitted this review on November 9th 2008 at 01:49 PM. JILL is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product.
Strengths:This is one tough machine. It is also the first adapted piece of equipment that no extra modification was needed after it arrived. Ater we unloaded it I literally pulled on and took off. It is extremely safe and a blast to drive. It has returned me to places I haven't been able o reach for 25 years. I live in the country and have taken the RPV up and down the roads, in the pastures etc. Don't be afraid of ordering from across the pond the company is dependable and honest. I LOVE MY RPV...
Weaknesses:none that I know of...
Comments:The hardest part in this deal was customs and the transport company, however that is absolutely no responsibility of W&H Eves. My suggestion is get your homework done ahead of time with customs paperwork and rules and make sure your transport company provides a liftgate on the delivery truck. These are mandatory stops along the way and I was not knowledgable at all how they work. But the outcome was well worth it.

Strengths:see my previous comments
Weaknesses:see my previous comments
Comments:Further to my first submission and being already a year late, an earlier type 2nd hand unit was offered and purchased. This had a similar performance of the first delivered unit prior to failure, neither having the climbing ability claimed.

Trevor from Innishannon, West Cork, Ireland. submitted this review on January 5th 2008 at 01:44 PM. Trevor is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:The RPV was ordered Sept 2006, with a 6-8 weeks promised delivery. Due to non delivery the loan of an old type Honda powered unit was arranged for Xmas 2006. I was really impressed except for the braking particularly as this RPV was stated to be 5 years old or more. Informed that production units now had improved braking.
Weaknesses:The new Kohler powered RPV was delivered March 2007, but did not perform to the stated specification with regard to its low speed hill climbing ability and braking. A structural problem occurred which was rectified. The manufacturer stated the RPV had been incorrectly set up and was returned for rectification. Delivered again September 06 and performed to specification except for the high speed setting which was 3.7 mph maximum, it was returned by the manufacturer in September to rectify.
Comments:The RPV when built to the declared specification would be very beneficial to any wheelchair bound user and provides Independence. I have operated the RPV to all parameters of the specification and have found it superb. I am really missing the RPV as I am stuck indoors and I am looking forward in the New Year to having it back to give a satisfactory review.
