Malissa from Bainbridge, GA ,USA submitted this review on October 17th 2006 at 01:01 PM. Malissa is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Durable, no tipping, very manuerable. Good outdoors and in tight places. Good turning power.
Weaknesses:Sometimes front wheels slide when going up wet surfaces the first time you try, but eventually does go up. Faster speeds of 6mph or higher not available.
Comments:I have used a quickie G424 for over five years and love it. I cook, sweep, mop from my chair. I can even been over to pick up items from the floor and the chair does not tilt with me, but stays solid on the floor. I love it and will be purchasing another.

Xan from Lazo, BC, Canada submitted this review on December 4th 2004 at 12:57 AM. Xan is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Great for long cruises on sidewalks and gravel, very sturdy on curbs, one repair in 4 1/2 years of use, joystick repaired under warranty. Recharge plug easy access. Push handles on back great to hang groceries on. Person sits very high for better view - easier on neck when looking up. Easy to use in crowded grocery stores and public area. Because of the height, is easier for people to get in and out of the chair. Storage in back to hold emergency items like rain wear. Great for heavy rain and mild snow - electrical never shorted out. Always get foam filled tires - no flats. Great control with joystick. Chair easy to take apart and put back together again to do a through cleaning.
Weaknesses:Height of wheelchair prevents normal sitting at a table, as the joystick will hit the edge of the table. The footrest is designed to flip up when transferring in and out of the chair, needs to be tightened every so often to prevent the footrest from slipping down and tripping the person when transferring. The foam filled tires are the best but over time with long distance travel (3 - 5 miles per day) on pavement will become so smooth and glossy that they lose traction. Must replace tires and rims at high cost. Gel filled seat does not provide proper support and does not prevent pressure sores. Battery charger had to be replaced. Service with one business could be a nightmare where another business gives great service. Bubble butt behind a big pain in the butt when backing up or turning on a dime.
Comments:A very good machine for $12,000.00 CDN, but is slowly starting to break down after 41/2 years of use. This is a good outdoor chair for harsh weather as the electrical is solid and the extra height gives a superior view for the rider. We would go over curbs and bumps that we shouldn't have only because the hand grips were on the back of the chair to help push the chair over obstacles. Hand grips on the back of the chair was so important in maneuvering the chair in tight places or steep areas - nothing except a heavy snow storm would stop this chair.

CJ from Warner Robins GA submitted this review on December 29th 2003 at 09:46 AM. CJ is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Easy to maneuver, good turn radius. Joystick easy to operate with very minimal work. Sunrise Medical responds quite promptly when parts are needed one day turnaround when I had problems with the control box.
Weaknesses:The control box went out twice but was covered under warranty both times. Both the left and right hand side motor went out, neither was covered under warranty. The seat has started to split but it was easy to find tape to repair it at the hardware store. The seatbelt barely fits around me, weigh 145.
Comments:This is my first power chair so I don't know if the problems I experienced are normal or not. I am not an "outdoorsy" type - so I don't know how the chair is for those type activities.
