Strengths:I have 2 cushions which I alternate between. One is over 7 years old and other than the cover wearing out it's still going strong.
I have some spinal curvature and the dould inflatable cushions help me to balance that problem out. Being a feeling quad, when I get spasms it stops you from sliding forward very far on it's own. It is very light weight and the velcro is still going strong after many years.
Weaknesses:You have to get new covers periodically, but I've never had one that didn't have this need. When transferring, the contoured front leg support sometimes is inhibiting, yet it holds my legs in place as designed.
Comments:I've had 5 cushions in 26 years and I've had these 2 for over 7 years and still love them. The rigid edges give me something firm to push of from when transferring to van chair or the bed.

Victor from Scranton Pa. USA submitted this review on August 26th 2003 at 03:52 PM. Victor is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Very light, Easier to deal with and inflate correctly than some of the other air cushions. I can inflate this cushion myself and get it right almost every time. Has held up very well under daily use. No sores or discomfort even when I over do the time I spend in my chair. I feel very balanced on the cushion.
Weaknesses:A little tough on the pocketbook, but aren't they all?
Comments:I use this cushion every day. Sometimes for up to 16 hours and have had no problems with my skin or with the cushion. I have tried several other air cushions prior to this one but the Varilite seems to work best for me.

Diana from Miami, Florida, USA submitted this review on October 8th 2002 at 06:05 PM. Diana is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:I have been using this cushion for a little over a year. It is not as wobbly as the other air cushion I previously used. It's not difficult to inflate once you have done it a couple of times. So far it has held up well and given me good pressure relief.
Weaknesses:I haven't found any real weaknesses yet. I anticipate needing a new cover soon but that would be the case with any cushion.
Comments:I am a very active paraplegic who doesn't like complicating my daily routine more than it already is. The Pro Form has been easy to live with and has worked well for comfort and pressure relief.
