Strengths:stood up to warped tour 2008 and multiple trips around boston. folds up very easily with little effort. i like that i can remove the arm rests. very inexpensive.
Weaknesses:if you dont have alot of arm strength, it's hard to self-propel for long periods of time. also, very heavy to lift after it's folded up.
Comments:i would say it's a good chair for the price. also, looks good for such an inexpensive chair.

Charles from East Wenatchee, WA, USA submitted this review on July 22nd 2008 at 10:33 PM. Charles is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product.
Strengths:Price, less than $250, excellent ease of removing/replacing footrests, lightweight, well locking brakes, comfortable, stylish, easy to push for helpers, folds easy, footrests fold in or out, armrests fit under table or desk easily, comes with its own wrench for adjusting.
Weaknesses:Wheels are not as expected, pushrim is not round aluminum like in the picture but a plastic material that is 3/4 round and hollow, my fingers have trouble gripping a non-round surface as I am a stroke patient, chair is not heavy duty so can not take a lot of abuse however used with care then it should last a long time.
Comments:I like the chair very much however the wheels are the only disappointment. I will have to replace the pushrims and/or wheels which will add to the final cost. Definitely worth it in my case.

Jessie from Elma, WA USA submitted this review on April 12th 2007 at 03:43 PM. Jessie is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:durable, easy to fold, nice silver color, inexpensive
Weaknesses:VERY HEAVY (feels much heavier than advertised), very hard to get armrests off and on the chair, hard to adjust elevating legrests, doesn't have spoke wheel option (only heavy mag wheels)
Comments:I had this chair for about 3 months as a backup chair and only used it two times before getting rid of it. It was very hard for me or my family to pick it up to put in a car and it is too box-like, making it hard to get through some doorways without scratching up the doors. On a plus side, it only cost me $300.00, so its good for someone on a very tight budget.

Chris from Lakeland, FL submitted this review on March 15th 2006 at 05:01 PM. Chris is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:The thick solid rubber tires are fantastic. Solid rubber on the arm rest is a great improvment over other previous models.
Weaknesses:Due to the angle of the front of the armrest, it is extremely difficult to grab hold of, and get into. The back of the 3-point system has on numerous occasions split and rippied my thunbnails on both hands. Hand brakes have an irritating habit of always brushing the back of your hands. Rear of seat is too high at the bottom.
Comments:I have both legs cut off, and use my chair on a daily basis for over a year. Once my thumb was ripped and bleeding. I took off the rear of the 3-point system. The constant squeak as the rubber rubs the plastic, drives everyone in my home crazy. Especially at 3am. I would recommend, taking off the wheels and using them on the old chair that you already have. The chair itself is poorly designed by people that clearly don't use them.

Alan from Doraville, GA USA submitted this review on December 10th 2005 at 11:15 PM. Alan is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Very light weight. Stores easy in trunk or van.
Weaknesses:plastic braces are hard to snap in place or unsnap to fold up. If you have trouble with your hands this is not an ideal situation.
Seems weak for outdoor use.
Comments:It's easy enough to use, rolls well on hard surfaces and low pile carpet.
It's fine for inside but don't expose to rough use outside. You'll also need a good cushion if you going to be in it any length of time.

Bill from Key Largo FL submitted this review on June 6th 2005 at 12:23 PM. Bill is a care giver who has less than a month of experience with the product.
Strengths:Stylish and sturdy. Quick release armrest are exceptionally simple
Weaknesses:Not really silver as in the photos.
Comments:The escortís not as silver as in the photos. The lower frame and wheel rims are silver, but the side panels are very dark grey and the upper frame, seat, back and armrests are black.

Itís not exactly overbuilt or rugged looking, but it seems stylish, smart and sturdy.

The wheelchair arrived without leg-rests, but thatís being remedied.
