Tracy from fayetteville, NC submitted this review on November 8th 2007 at 09:05 PM. Tracy is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:It's better than not being able to move at all
Weaknesses:the Pleather (vinyl) material is horrible at making you sweat on back and bottom side, causing other issues such as rashes and discomfort, and wet clothes. The front wheels are huge and when you try to transport it folded, they hit one another making it very difficult to get in and out of vehicle. (not sure what they are called on this next one) The push bars in back, that are there for some one else to push you...instead of being in back of the seat, they are in front, so it hits your upper arms very hard when you are trying to roll the wheels unless you lean forward alot, be prepaired for bruises and irritation! It also makes quite a bit of noise, such as creaking. The leg risers that came with it are not very long, and even at 5ft 5inches tall, they can not accomodate legs being straight if your reason is like mine, after foot surgeries with the need to have legs extended and raised for careful of the length, there is no support and your foot may be left to dangle. Must agree with previous poster that backside may slip out under the seat/back support. WIDE TURNS!!
Comments:Very very cheaply made. May be great in a doctors office or hospital, where usage is only to transport from car, or from one department to another while being pushed by some one else. For day to day use in home, or for a teenager to go to school, this chair is hideous! It is heavy, and is very difficult to maneuver , especially while turning. 3 times it has started to collapse when tipped back to go up a step.

Tokah from U.S. submitted this review on August 3rd 2006 at 08:30 PM. Tokah is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:The Tracer Ex2 is very cheap. Its folding mechanism is effective, and it fits into most trunks. The footrests are easy to adjust. Easy storage makes it a good backup chair.
Weaknesses:The wheel locks get in the way of push stroke, catching your thumbs as you move. It wasn't very durable, going from new to creaking in less than six months of regular use. When someone uses the kickstands to pop the chair up on its back wheels, it bends the frame and causes the chair to pull to the side. It handles terrain poorly.
Comments:This chair is fine for hospital use, but it doesn't cut it in the real world. Thankfully, it is priced cheap enough to be used as a consumable product. It was my first chair, and I learned a lot on it.

Michael from Austin, Texas submitted this review on January 15th 2006 at 07:34 AM. Michael is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product.
Weaknesses:HEAVY. Plastic push rims cause a lot of heat from friction. Gloves are a must. It takes almost nothing for the casters to start shimmying like the wheels on a worn out shopping cart. Have to be really careful with the HUGE casters. My butt slides through the space between the seat back and the seat sling, even with a cushion. Cumbersome. Hard to maneuver in tight places. Has an absurd large turning radius due to the monster casters.
Comments:I got this chair mainly so I could do yardwork without getting my Quickie R-2 or my Kuschall funky. Because I've always used lightweight rigid frame chairs I didn't have very high expectations, and didn't plan to use the chair for anything but yardwork. Even at that, the chair is a supreme disappointment. Better than no wheels at all, but only slightly.

Brenda from Orlando Florida submitted this review on June 28th 2005 at 07:44 AM. Brenda is a care giver who has over a year of experience with the product.
Weaknesses:Way too heavy to transport in and out of an SUV.
Comments:Because this wheelchair is so heavy, I now have to purchase a lighter companion chair that I can leave at all times in my SUV.
