James from Brampton, Canada submitted this review on June 1st 2007 at 03:03 AM. James is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:its hard to write specific strengths for a class of chair that is so completely customizable.. but I guess that is a strength itself now eh' ? lol.

For my configuration (and this is my 4th MVP by the way)
she's fast.. responsive, maneuverable, and tough.

Shes the perfect class of chair for nearly any mobile user..
I got my first mvp when i was 12.. 13 years old..
and going from a class 4 chair up to an Mvp..
it was like going from the city bus to a dodge viper ! lol.

In nearly 14 years of Mvp usage, I've only ever tipped..
3 times i think.. and all were based on extenuating conditions.
Weaknesses:She's got teeth.. but she does have flaws.

Part of the flaw is the consistency of the class,
for multi-time buyers.

if i buy an mvp in 1999 with a package defined for me
(i.e height settings, weight distribution)
it won't match a second mvp boughten in 2003..
even with every setting visually looking the same,
there'll still be -some- differences.

Another flaw, is that the company that produces it
is discontinuing (to my understanding) some of the small
features that made this such a fun chair for me.

I had problems like the other user who's written here
with the foot tubes.. so i decided i'd go all out and
i had them slap on the Biggest foot plates they could find.

They'll tell ya "noooo.. there too big.. won't work"
trust me, they will.. just extend them all the way out,
they then prevent the stuck foot problem, and serve
as a battering ram ! lol :P

But, the most serious design flaw..
that isn't just a "company choice" that has been an error
in my opinion.. every mvp i've had thus far has over time
developed problems in the right wheel..
every one.. a loud clicking poping noise, at random
as i wheel.

I've taken them all in.. and every time "can't find anything"
after a while the left begins to join the right with making
the poping.. but never as loud or frequent.

my only thought is that its some sort of design flaw
with the axel / barring system.
Comments:Over all when i look at the plus's and minus's of this class
chair.. even as bad as the loudly popping wheel problem is..
(and onl happens after a couple years typically)
its still worth the trade off when it comes to the overall
greatness of this chair.

I know what this chair can do..
wither its racing the mall or riding the road
(don't try that at home kids !!)
anywhere i take her.. she always brings me home safe.

Loyd from Winston Salem, NC submitted this review on June 1st 2004 at 10:34 AM. Loyd is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Lightweight, durable, easy to maintain, looks great, and the chair is not the first thing someone sees. Small and compact. Chair also has numerous adjustment options along with color options. To be a folding chair, it is very sturdy and has minimal waste of motion. Very much like a fixed or rigged frame. The chair unlocks and folds with ease. Folds very flat.
Weaknesses:The solid foot rest tubing is too far apart and has a tendency to allow my foot to get caught between the tubes when I get ready to transfer. This is not a good thing. Need to be careful and aware especially in lowlight or at night. This happens even if I have shoes on.
Comments:Great chair of the active person who doesn't have room for a rigged frame
